Appoint us in 8 Easy Steps

Building Control Appointment Form - NEW

  • Can be found at the top of the quote letter
  • This will appear on legal documents and must be accurate. Any revisions required during the design and construction process must be communicated to us so that we can amend the initial notice (we reserve the right to charge an administration fee for each revision).
  • Client means any person for whom a project is carried out (please see helpsheet).

  • If you have planning approval, please give planning reference here
  • A site location plan of at least 1:1250 must be included with this application.
  • It is the responsibility of the person carrying out the work to inform Clarke Banks of any optional requirements that have been imposed on the development once planning permission has been granted. Please confirm which requirements have been imposed as below:

  • It is a requirement of Approved Document R that we submit a connectivity plan with the Initial Notice for the project. Please supply written confirmation from your network provider and a completed connectivity plan (a blank copy of which is attached here.)
  • Please select the statement which is applicable to the project:
  • Please be aware that it is a strict requirement of our PI Insurance, as an Approved Inspector Clarke Banks can only be appointed with our standard form of appointment and Terms and Conditions.
  • Clarke Banks (Building Control) Limited along with all other Approved Inspectors are not permitted to sign Collateral Warranties as a condition of Professional Indemnity Insurance.
  • *By signing this appointment form you are instructing Clarke Banks (Building Control) Limited as Approved Inspector on the project. You are also confirming that:
    1. You are satisfied for Clarke Banks (Building Control) Limited to complete and sign the Initial Notice on your behalf.
    2. That you agree to our standard Terms and Conditions.
    3. You agree to application fee payment terms in accordance with Section 3.5 of the Clarke Banks Terms and Conditions.
    4. If a CIC Standard Form of Appointment for an Approved Inspector is to be used payment terms will still apply from Clarke Banks Standard Terms and Conditons.
